Chicago Hotel RestaurantsWhat makes a hotel in Chicago special? Is it the interior design of the rooms, the hotel building’s architecture or the striking décor seen all throughout the lobby and hotel common areas? To some, these aspects are, of course, a very important factor in how to rank a hotel experience, but to others, it basically comes down to just one thing: amenities. Guest services are a critical part in making sure visitors are happy and enjoying their stay, and what better way to make certain everyone has a great experience than to house a first-rate restaurant right inside the hotel? Downtown Chicago is filled with 5-star hotels that are sure to impress even the most seasoned travelers, but if you’re looking for a top-notch hotel restaurant to enhance your staycation in Chicago, these 5 hotel restaurants might be the best the Windy City has to offer:

NoMI Kitchen:

Located at Chicago’s Park Hyatt at 800 N. Michigan Avenue, NoMI kitchen is everything you’d expect to see in an upscale hotel restaurant in a big city. The large windows provide excellent views of the city and the interior is relaxed yet still possesses somewhat of a contemporary high-end feel.

Atwood Café

Situated inside Hotel Burnham at 1 W. Washington is one of our favorite “go-to” spots for just about any meal of the day. The breakfast here is out of this world while the lunch and dinner options aren’t too shabby either. The food here is classic American cuisine and the authentic Art Deco décor makes patrons feel warm and welcome.

Shanghai Terrace

I have to admit, Asian food is definitely one of my favorites, so of course Shanghai Terrace makes the cut. Housed inside the world-class Peninsula Hotel at 108 E. Superior, many consider Shanghai Terrace to be the best Chinese restaurants in all of downtown Chicago—and I’m inclined to agree. Inside patrons will notice the 1930s supper club décor with an authentic Asian twist and the menu…well, everything is absolutely delicious, so this one of a “must-try.”
