Construction on the recently renamed St. Regis Chicago is wrapping up and the city’s new 95-story high-rise is finally starting to welcome its first residents. As reported by Crain’s, developers of the project said first move-ins took place in earlier this month and will continue to happen regularly moving forward.

For buyers immediately moving in and opting not to rent out their unit, the 47th floor amenity level still isn’t finished, and the hotel and hospitality offering aren’t quite ready yet either.

Along with the building’s 393 condo residences, plans also called for a 191-room hotel, which will include Alinea Group-run bars and restaurants as well.

Chicago New ConstructionThe Chicago Plan Commission recently gave its approval to two major projects. The first is a new condo tower in the Gold Coast.

The 35-story building is slated to go in at 40 W Oak Street, just across the street from a local library and elementary school. Plans call for 75-units to grace the luxury tower. The original plan was for 90 condos in a taller design, but it was pared back after feedback from the community.

It will also include some new parking spaces. The entire Gold Coast project replaces an existing parking garage.

Despite some opposition, the commission also recently narrowly endorsed a new Amazon shipping and logistics center. It’s scheduled to go in at 2424 S Halsted Street in Bridgeport.

Parkline condos chicagoSales are well underway for one of Chicago’s newest luxury towers Parkline Chicago located at 60 E. Monroe in Chicago’s Loop.

The building’s sales gallery officially opened back in March. When finished, the development will include two-dozen condos, along with nearly 200 apartments and thousands of square feet of ground-level retail space.
