Chicago is known for its culinary events and festivals, and starting this summer, you can add another one to the list. Just announced yesterday, Food & Wine magazine and C3 Presents will host the first ever Chicago Food & Wine Festival, which will be held in both Lincoln and Grant Parks on August 28th thru the 30th.
The event, which will basically be modeled after Chicago Gourmet (another food and drink fest in Chicago that’s sponsored by rival publication Bon Appetit), will feature an assortment of world-class chefs, sommeliers, mixologists, and a number of rising stars in the industry, while food tents, wine and cocktail samples, and various other vendors will also be available for festival goers to enjoy and take in all the yummy food and drinks that will these industry pros whip up on-site.
There will also be a chef’s showcase where 40 Chicago chefs will serve tasting portions of their restaurant’s signature dishes—an event that we’re especially looking forward to.
Interactive cooking demos, tasting sessions, a late-night dessert and nightcap party, and several book signings will also be on tap for the inaugural Chicago Food & Wine Festival. Tickets to the event range from $75 to $550 for an all-inclusive ticket that covers the entire weekend, which can be purchased at the Chicago Food & Wine Festival website.
