But that apparently hasn’t stopped a 2,400 square foot penthouse inside one of Chicago’s most iconic high-rises from sitting on the market for close to a year while also taking a series of dramatic price cuts in the process.
Boating all new finishes, gleaming hardwood floors, and a lavish master bathroom complete with Calacatta marble, Unit 86B first hit the market back in March 2019 with an asking price of $3.1 million. Since then, the sellers have dropped the price 5 separate times and the current price now sits at $2.2 million.
Looking back, condos for sale in Trump Tower throughout 2019 moved for an average of $943 a square foot, which means Unit 86B is well below that level at $917 a square foot currently.
Considering penthouses often come at premium pricing, and the fact that Trump Tower still offers some of the best amenities of any building in town, this latest price cut could very well be one of the better bargains you’ll find on the market right now.
