Is it just us, or does seafood and summer seem to go hand-in-hand? Whether you’re an intense foodie here in Chicago or just enjoy a good hearty meal at a great restaurant every now and then, you probably know that downtown Chicago is certainly no stranger to fabulous seafood restaurants of all different kinds.
This time next month, the seafood selection is about to get even a little more crowded over in the Loop, and needless to say, we can’t wait. Back in January, an official announcement that New York-based Luke's Lobster will finally be making its way to the Midwest for the first time, after opening more than 20 different locations out on East Coast cities like New York, Philadelphia, and Washington DC.
A classic seafood joint that’s perfect for grabbing tasty food on the go, Luke’s Lobster will make its debut in a 1200 ft.² space over 134 N. LaSalle Street— the former space of Crumbs Bake Shop.
If you’re still unfamiliar with Luke’s Lobster to this point, they’re definitely famous for their downright mouthwatering lobster rolls, however plenty of other delicious options will be available like a shrimp roll, a lobster grilled cheese, clam chowder, and various other side soups.
An exact date is still unknown at this point, but sometime in May is still the plan at this point, according to Eater Chicago and Crain’s.
