Residential lofts aren’t the only thing coming to Chicago’s River East neighborhood, as Pinstripes, Inc. is set to finally introduce their unique indoor/outdoor dining and entertainment venue later this weekend here in the heart of downtown Chicago.
As reported earlier by a number of different media outlets, Northbrook-based Pinstripes has leased 33,000 square-feet of ground- and lower-level space in the iconic River East Plaza—a 109 year-old loft building that’s undergoing a complete overhaul which will also bring 300 luxury apartments to its upper floors as well.
In a neighborhood that’s known for its entertainment, this new bistro, bowling, and bocce concept will be a welcoming addition to an area that’s only steps from Navy Pier, Michigan Avenue, and a host of other downtown amenities and attractions that make this one of the most visited parts of the city by visitors and tourists alike.
Included in the new River East entertainment venue are 11 bowling lanes, 7 bocce courts (5 indoor, 2 outdoor), and a lofty bistro that features an open kitchen and 15 seats surrounding the cozy wood-burning pizza oven. Small plate starters, freshly prepared salads, all kinds of pastas, and a range of meats, soups and desserts round out the food menu, while the beverage menu will include quite the selection of hard-to-find American and Italian wines, handcrafted cocktails, and a number of tasty specialty beers.
Pinstripes River East will be open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. In addition, the bistro will be open lunch and dinner seven days a week while offering an endless brunch buffet on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
