Restaurant Week: 3 New Openings We're Excited About Most This Fall

Restaurants and cafes in Chicago always seem to be coming and going, but it feels like we’ve seen a whole lot of openings this fall, which is great for Chicagoans who love to dine out and enjoy living in one of the best food cities in the world.

And while the list is extensive, here are just a few recent restaurant / cafe openings in Chicago that we’re excited about most:

S.K.Y. - Pilsen

A beautiful new restaurant over in the burgeoning Pilsen neighborhood, S.K.Y. just recently made its debut on November 17th over at 1239 W. 18th Street, offering guests “contemporary American cuisine, refined by [Chef Stephen Gillanders] most inspiring experiences from around the world.” The space also occupies a long vacant building right in the heart of Pilsen, eliminating what was once an eye-sore and transforming it into a new community gem that we hope will be around for many years to come.

Printer’s Row Coffee Co. - DePaul

We’re always on the lookout for a great new coffee house, and DePaul now has one in Printer’s Row Coffee Co. Serving a variety of small-batch coffees just around the corner from the university, it’s hard to imagine this not being a huge hit among students and Lincoln Park residents alike.

Buona Beef - Streeterville

We’ve all seen the commercials during Cubs and White Sox games. And now, the Chicago street food chain has finally made its way to downtown Chicago, opening up a stunning new 75-seat restaurant over at 613 N. McClurg. And as you can see below, this isn’t your typical Italian beef stand…
