Restaurant Week: A Look Inside Gibson's Italia

With Thanksgiving right around the corner and Chicago being one of the top food cities on the face of the planet, we thought we’d have a little fun this week and add a series of posts that talk about all things food in Chicago.

To kick off our “Restaurant Week” theme, talking about what’s arguably the hottest new restaurant in town right off the bat seems to make the most sense, so let’s dive a little deeper into what the one-and-only Gibson’s Italia has to offer foodies in the Windy City.

Having just opened last month, this chic new Italian steakhouse consists of three separate levels, which includes a gorgeous third-level bar with a retractable roof that screams summertime hotspot. The views from the bar are supreme and overlook the Chicago River where it splits, and frankly, we can’t think of a better place to enjoy a cocktail in this particular part of downtown.

The first floor of Gibsons Italia also features huge windows that take advantage of its location along the riverfront, and there’s also a pretty large bar down there as well, just in case the third-level bar gets a little too crowded.

As for the food, if you've ever been to Gibson's over on Rush Street, you already know the food is absolutely mouth-watering, and that's certainly the case with both the menu and the cocktails over at Gibson's Italia too. So if you're someone who loves to check out all the newest spots to hit the restaurant scene in and around downtown Chicago, move Gibson's Italia up to the top of your list to places to try, and we promise you won't be disappointed.
