We’ve heard about it for quite some time and as the fall season rapidly approaches, the closer we get to RPM Steak finally becoming a reality. It seems hard to believe, but it’s already been over two years since celebrity couple Bill and Giuliana Rancic, Chef Doug Psaltis, and the creative minds over at Lettuce Entertain You brought us RPM Italian—a chic Italian-centric concept with a bit of a new-age twist.
But since its debut in 2012, many of us who have experienced the mouth-watering pasta and fabulous modern ambiance on display over at RMP Italian have been anxiously, and patiently, awaiting the arrival of RPM Steak since the idea first blossomed early last year.
The new RPM Steak will be located at 60 W. Kinzie, also in River North, and despite the neighborhood’s overwhelming number of already-established steak houses, those behind the new venture promise this one will be different. Like RPM Italian, the interior will certainly offer a stylish look and feel, only with a few subtle old-fashioned design touches thrown into the mix; and as for the food, some of the meat will be brought in straight from Japan, while there will also reportedly be an entire section of the menu just for mushroom-focused items.
The RPM Steak space is right around 8,500 square feet and will seat 150 guests, but as for an official opening date—we’re still not sure. But we promise, it will be sooner rather than later.
