Downtown Chicago has a new nightclub that may feel relatively familiar to anyone living in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and New York. Called Tao, River North’s newest hotspot not only has locations in each of the three aforementioned cities above but also a spectacular interior setting that’s unlike anything the Windy City has ever seen.
First, club-goers will enter Tao through a pair of 100-year-old Chinese doors that can only be accessed in an alley that lies adjacent to the building. Next, you’ll head directly upstairs to the building’s second floor, which is where you’ll enjoy a sprawling, 1,000-person capacity space that’s totally decked out in unique, Asian-inspired artwork and decor that makes for quite the setting.
A huge dance floor and DJ booth, a massive 10-foot Japanese bell with a disco ball, private booths and tables, and a sprawling 20-foot tall mural are just some Tao’s highlights, and that’s really just the beginning.
Tao will officially make its Chicago debut on the weekend of September 21 and 22, and a number of high-profile DJs like DJ Ruckus and the legendary Deadmau5 will also be performing to headline the occasion.
