It’s Friday, so naturally, we have beer on the brain. And now that we’re entering the heart of the spring season, Chicago’s festival season is also starting up and about to be in full-swing, with several highly-anticipated beer-related events “on-tap” over the next couple weeks.
The 15th Annual European Drinks Festival is this coming Monday (4/28), which is a unique celebration of wines, spirits, beers, juices, and mineral waters from our friends across the pond. Check out the Euro Drinks Fest over at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood.
Also rapidly approaching is the always-entertaining Fado Irish Pub Craft Beer Fest, which offers unlimited samples from local and national craft breweries from 4-7pm on Saturday May 3rd. Live music from the Acoustic Brothers will be on hand, along with some great food specials, so don’t forget to grab your tickets to this one early.
Next up is Chouffe Fest—a one night beer festival that will highlight several delicious Belgian craft beers over at the Logan Square Auditorium. Featured beers at this year’s event, which will be held on Thursday May 1st from 7-11pm, include La Chouffe (a Belgian Blonde Ale), Mc Chouffe (a Belgian-Scottish Dark Ale), and a Houblon Chouffe (a Belgian Triple IPA). How can you go wrong when you mix Belgian beers with a gnome-inspired event space? This Chicago beer festival may be a bit lesser known to some of our readers, so check out this link for more information.
Finally, we have the Public House CINCO DE MAYO Beer Dinner, which of course will be held on Monday May 5th from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets will include a five-course Mexican inspired dinner that is specifically paired with select craft beers to compliment the food. If you’ve never been, Public House is situated in the heart of River North, so come early for the food and stay around the neighborhood late for a full night of food, fun, and BEER!
