To accommodate growing needs of employees, PepsiCo will be relocating its Chicago offices. The new location will be 433 W. Van Buren St and will be the home of their; Sports and Juice portfolios, Quaker Foods, and Pepsi's North America Central Division.

The move will “meet the growing needs of current and future talent by creating a more agile and productive working environment for employees,” according to to a representative of the company.

The beverage giant signed an 8 year lease for a space measuring 192K sq. ft and are planning to move around the end of next year. PepsiCo with their 1300 employees will be the 3rd largest tenant within the building.

Chicago New Construction The city’s Planning and Development Department is becoming more involved in smaller neighborhood projects. A notable project is the 11-story apartment development at 1212 N. State St. which has revised its design and property line locations.

The proposed changes to the building include lowering the unit count from 102 to 91, increasing the height from 121 to 128 feet, and shifting the tower backwards 15 feet from the northern property line to provide neighbors more space. The aesthetic revisions like using a warmer colored brick, come from Chicago developer, Newcastle Limited and  architecture firm CallisonRTKL. Current rendering may be viewed online.

The Ritz-Carlton has set a record for the longest-ever sales period for downtown high-rise. Within the last few weeks, the last 2 of the 89 total condos in the luxury property were sold.

Going back to late 2018, there were only 4 units within the property that remained unsold. 
The final 2 condo units in a North Michigan Avenue high-rise sold recently making it 13 years since units in the building first went up for sale.

The final units that sold were A 38th-floor penthouse unit and a 34th-floor condo at the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Residences. According to records, this event marks the ending of the the longest-ever sales programs of a downtown condo building.
