So what makes the Old Town neighborhood so incredible? Well, that largely depends on who you ask. For some, it’s close proximity to the downtown core makes its ideal for a quick and easy commute during the week, while other enjoy being near Lake Michigan, which offers quick access to the lakefront parks, the lakefront trail, and of course some of downtown’s best beaches like North Ave Beach and Oak Street Beach. Old Town is also packed with a wide range of restaurants, bars, and nightlife, and as many Chicagoans already know, it doesn’t get much better than Wells Street on the weekends, which acts as Old Town’s primary thoroughfare.

As for Old Town condo building, you won’t find an abundance of high rise towers here like in nearby Streeterville or the Gold Coast. Although there are some high-rise condo buildings, Old Town has much more of a variety in terms of residential real estate, with vintage courtyard buildings, mid-rise developments, three- and four-flats, and even some newer construction condo buildings all filling out the area’s housing landscape.
