Tribune Tower East is a supertall mixed use building that was granted final approval on May 8, 2020. As of now, Tribune Tower East will rise 1,422 feet high when finished, making it Chicago’s second tallest building behind Willis Tower. When completed, the building will include a 200-room hotel, 439 apartment residences, and 125 condominiums. Construction for Tribune Tower East is slated to begin in late 2021 or early 2022.
