A triple condo now on the market in the John Hancock Center could soon smash the old record sale price for a unit in the building. The latest offering is a newly redesigned condo that takes the square footage from three condos, forming a new 4,100 square foot home with four-bedrooms, four-baths and a massive, combined space, incorporating the kitchen, dining and living rooms into one L-shaped design.

A high-profile penthouse in Streeterville has sold, according to reports from Crain’s Chicago Business. The seller, who is also the former president of E-Trade Securities, officially unloaded the 16th-floor unit at 270 E. Pearson last week for $4.3 million, or for $1.5 million more than it was purchased for back in 2008. 

As noted in the report, the unit features 3,600 square feet across its two levels, and has three full bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and an 800 square foot balcony.
