A new report from Curbed has revealed that yet another new residential project could be in the works for the West Loop, which at this point is hardly a surprise. As one of the hottest neighborhoods in town, the West Loop is absolutely booming right now, and the latest proposal on the table is a new 52-unit apartment building that’s slated for 128. S. Laflin.

Currently occupying the site is a small one-level industrial building, which would of course be demolished should the project gain approval and construction eventually move forward.

According to Curbed, however, West Loop neighbors aren’t thrilled about the early design concept given its close proximity to the Jackson Boulevard Historic District.

But with so much new development going on in the area, and all the shops, bars, restaurants, and cafes that line streets like Randolph and Madison, many of today’s home buyers will be the first to say it’s worth the premium you might have to pay in order to one day call this vibrant part of Chicago home.

And speaking of Madison Street, the inventory of available lofts, condos, and apartments offers a broad range of options and opportunities right now, which is something you

More jaw-dropping development could be on the way for the New Eastside, and no, we’re not just talking about Vista Tower, which is currently under construction with listings already on the MLS.

According to a series of reports, a number of mixed-use towers are currently in the works for one of the largest urban development projects in the country, and if built, would bring hundreds of additional residences and hotel rooms to the fast-growing neighborhood.

Two of the new towers, which would be a joint-collaboration between Magellan Development and Australia-based Lendlease, would top out at 80 stories and 50 stories respectively and be situated right alongside Lake Shore Drive just south of the river.

A third tower is also being discussed that
