The weather outside is heating up, which can only mean one thing: Farmer’s Market season in Chicago is coming! If you’re a city-dweller here in the downtown area, you don’t need us to tell you how sweet—and convenient—a location farmer’s market can be.

From all the awesome goodies and fresh produce to just the welcome hustle-and-bustle in the neighborhood after a long, dark, and cold winter, there’s just something about a farmer’s market here in Chicago that puts us all in a good, summery mood.

Amazon Warehouse Coming to Chicago
According to a report from Crain’s Chicago Business, online retail giant amazon.com has leased a warehouse in Goose Island, making its expansion into both Chicago and Illinois official. The space is a nearly 52,000 square foot warehouse at 1111 N. Cherry Avenue, and those close to the deal say Seattle-based Amazon has plans to bring at least 1,000 full-time jobs to its new Chicago location before 2017.

About 6 months ago, Amazon first hinted an expansion to Illinois, and more specifically Chicago, citing the need to keep up with the rising demand for same-day and next-day deliveries. Prior to the new Goose Island warehouse, the nearest Amazon facility, for now, is located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, however, Amazon is also planning an even larger distribution

Luxury Chicago Real Estate

According to a recent release from RE/MAX Northern Illinois, the million dollar real estate market in Metro Chicago is alive and well, with transaction activity for luxury homes ($1 million and over) up 16% in the first quarter of 2015 from a year ago.

Along with a higher sales volume, units are also moving slightly faster as well, averaging just 144 days on the market, compared to 158 days during the first quarter of 2014. For those of us working in the Chicago real estate industry and dealing specifically in the luxury sector of the market, the latest quarterly figures are hardly surprising, and that’s of course not even factoring in the luxury rental market in downtown Chicago, which has been especially active since the post-recession development

River North 2 Bedroom Condos & Lofts For Sale

River North is unquestionably one of the hottest places to live in downtown Chicago right now. Aside from all the trendy loft conversions and high-end boutique buildings, River North is also home to some of the Windy City’s hottest dining, shopping, and nightlife options as well, making it especially attractive to home buyers who truly want an authentic urban atmosphere with a whole lot of flair.

But while many outsiders often associate the River North neighborhood with luxury living spaces—see Trump Tower, The Montgomery, or a handful of other exclusive buildings in the area—plenty of condos and loft units are also available here with a price tag that’s a bit more reasonable than the 7-figure asking prices that are attached to many of the units inside

C Chicago, Seafood Restaurant in River North

If you like the famed Chicago Cut Steakhouse, you might be interested in the management team’s latest restaurant venture that just opened today, a classy new seafood joint called C Chicago. Prime & Provisions Steak House

Sure, downtown Chicago is already loaded with an abundance of steak houses, but that’s not stopping David Rekshon, Lucas Stoioff, and the others over at DineAmic Group from opening up a hot new restaurant called Prime & Provisions over in the Loop. From the same restaurant group that brought Bull & Bear, Siena Tavern, and Public House to downtown Chicago, Prime & Provisions plans to separate itself from the pack due to a number of key factors, which we’ve helped outline below.

First, lots of seasonal ingredients will be implemented into the menu at Prime & Provisions, not to mention plans to work with more localized purveyors and farms will help ensure quality and a night in and night out basis. Along with that, its location in the Loop also gives is
