A new era is dawning for a long-dormant landmark in Chicago's Gold Coast. Altitude Capital Partners, a local development firm, has purchased the historically significant yet long-vacant building at 1447 North Dearborn Parkway for $10 million. Their ambitious plan: to reimagine the site as a collection of exclusive luxury condominiums, according to The Real Deal.

The four-story, 45,000-square-foot structure, dating back to 1901, carries a compelling history. Originally "The Dearborn" Manor, a 50-room long-term-stay hotel, it later transitioned into a 27-unit condominium. Unfortunately, a partial collapse during a 2010 condo conversion brought its occupancy to an abrupt halt, and it has remained vacant ever since.
