Chicago’s Hottest New Restaurants of 2021

If you’re looking for a great place to grab a bite to eat in Chicago this summer, you’re certainly in luck. Some of Chicago’s hottest new restaurants are now open and ready for customers. The hardest decision you make may be deciding which place to try out first.
Hermosa Restaurant
Hermosa Restaurant is a reservation-only dinner spot on Armitage Avenue. The menu tends to be more Cambodian in taste but is said to be a truly unique experience.
The Duplex
Located on Logan Boulevard, The Duplex sits right across the street from the Logan Square monument. The remodeled space offers a unique type of cuisine, where rotating chefs come in for extended residences. DJs entertain customers later in the evening.
Andros Taverna
Andros Taverna is a new, spirited dining room and bar on Milwaukee Avenue. This Logan Square venue offers contemporary, Greek food including salads, seafood, pitas, meats and more. The site is mostly open for dinner and drinks, but also offers some brunches.
En Passant
Found in Logan Square, En Passant sits on Diversey Avenue. This new hot spot is only open for dinner on select nights of the week. Because it’s a small restaurant, reservations are highly recommended. En Passant offers a selection include steak, chicken, sandwiches and more. Currently the restaurant is a BYOB establishment.
Taqueria Chingon
Located on Western Avenue, Taqueria Chingon is a tasty new taco place that’s currently available for carry-out and curbside pick-up. Choose from appetizers like quesadillas or a selection of tacos and sides. The restaurant also serves up some things to tempt your sweet tooth, like tres leches and churros.
