As most of us who already live here know, Chicago is a great place to call home. But if you're considering a move to the Windy City from out of town, it’s certainly reassuring to know that readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine have once again voted Chicago to be the best big city in the country.

Citing our city’s spectacular architecture, world-class museums, highly-touted restaurants, and a flourishing brewing scene as to why Chicago seems to be so beloved by its visitors, the travel magazine had this to say about Chicago specifically:

Second City? Not by our count. Chicago is world-class in so many categories—magnificent architecture, stunning museums, brilliant chefs, a massive brewing scene, and so much to do that you’ll never see it all. Scratch the surface in the Loop and on the Gold Coast, then go deeper into the city’s 77 neighborhoods, where you’ll find cutting-edge restaurants (like Parachute), chilled out corner bars (Sportsman’s Club), and some of the most pleasant people you’ll find anywhere. It’s no wonder Chicago tops this list again.

Other highly-ranked cities include San Francisco, New Orleans, Denver, Boston, and New York City. CNT also ranked small cities throughout the country as well, and Charleston, Santa Fe, and Savannah, Georgia were honored with being named the Top 3.
