An Updated Look at Some of the Highest-Profile Projects Happening in the West Loop

If you pay any attention at all to Chicago’s robust real estate market, chances are you’re already familiar with at least some of the large-scale development that's currently underway throughout much of the bustling West Loop neighborhood. Easily one of downtown’s hottest locations to live, work, and play, there’s hardly been a better time to jump into the West Loop housing market and invest in one of the most sought-after places to live in all of Chicago right now, and as the neighborhood continues to evolve, more and more opportunities to do just that are rapidly coming through the pipeline. 

But before you start browsing West Loop condos and lofts for sale, we thought we’d provide you with a quick update on what’s happening at some of the area's most highly anticipated projects currently under construction. Featured below are just a few recently taken photos of what’s currently being built in the West Loop, which combined, will forever change the neighborhood landscape on both the residential and commercial side of the market. 

110 N. Carpenter

110 N. Carpenter is arguably the most high-profile project being built in the West Loop right now and will eventually be the new headquarters for fast food giant McDonald’s. In all, 110 N. Carpenter will feature 600,000 square feet of office, retail, and restaurant space, and it's location right in the heart of the neighborhood will no doubt anchor Randolph Street moving forward.


Located at 111 S. Peoria, 111ume will feature 79 units over 10 stories when finished, and pricing starts at just $192,000 for a one-bedroom unit, which is quite competitive for the West Loop, regardless of dimensions. Look for the most expensive units at 111ume, however, to reach close to $2.5 million.

CA Washington

CA Washington is a collection of ultra luxe three bedroom, 3 bathroom condos. Each condo at CA Washington will include 2,082 square feet of total living space and occupy an entire floor. Unfortunately for anybody interested in these premium living spaces, CA Washington completely sold out prior to construction even starting.

The Aberdeen 

The Aberdeen will feature 15,000 square feet of ground level retail space, 40,000 square feet of office space, and 75 residential units when finished. A penthouse amenity level is also included in the project scope, and is expected to feature a sundeck, a private dog run, and plenty other fabulous lifestyle features to eventual residents to enjoy.


Hayden West Loop 

Located at 1109 W. Washington, the Hayden West Loop is one of the largest condo buildings to be developed in the neighborhood, not to mention one of the most luxurious. Providing eventual residents with a premium West Loop location and interior finishes and features that will be second-to-none, look for condos for sale at Hayden West Loop to start around $1.6 million and go up from there.
