A hot new listing in one of Chicago’s most luxurious building is making headlines—the 87th floor penthouse at beautiful Trump Tower. An expansive unit that includes a whopping 6,850 square feet of living space, there are few condos in all of downtown Chicago that reach this level of luxury.

Inside you’ll find extraordinarily high-end finishes and features throughout, and as you might expect from a condo on the 87th floor of a building that’s positioned right off the main branch of the Chicago River, the views in every direction are absolutely incredible. If that’s not enough, this particular unit also includes a five-car garage within the building, which is not only rare, but basically unheard of.

So just what does a nearly 7,000 square foot

HoJo Tower, Chicago IL

The River North apartment market is about to get a little more crowded as construction for a 38-story high-rise rental tower continues to move forward, replacing the old 71-room mid-century Howard Johnson Motel.

Designed by bKL Architecture, the HoJo Tower will house 298 apartment units when finished, not to mention an abundance of retail and commercial space which should liven up this stretch or River North. In addition, a small public pocket park will also be situated on the west end of the building site—a feature that’s being designed by Kettelkamp & Kettelkamp out of Evanston.

Earlier today, the Chicago Architecture Blog posted photos of the completely demolished, now-empty site of the former HoJo Motel, which will soon be occupied by this

833 N. Clark, Chicago IL

As first reported by our friends at ChicagoArchitecture.org, the new 34-story high-rise at 833 N. Clark is now officially underway, marking the beginning of two residential high-rises that are set to begin construction sometime during the month of June.

Obligated to incorporate the historic Georgian Revival style bank building that sits on the site as part of an agreement made with the city to revive this landmark-status structure, 833 North Clark is a pretty unique project that, when finished, will have eliminated yet another surface parking lot in the city, providing even more residential retail and residential space in one of the hottest neighborhoods in the entire city.

In all, the new 833 N. Clark development will stand 380 feet high, house 392

NEXT at NoCA Tower in Chicago

Although luxury condo development is starting to make its way back to the downtown Chicago real estate scene, the luxury apartment boom is still far from over. Initially announced early last year, Fifield Companies is set to begin construction on its impressive 310-unit apartment tower over at 347 West Chestnut St. near the old Calbrin-Green site.

Designed by Pappageorge-Haymes, this incredible new project, being dubbed NEXT at NoCA, will stand 28 stories high and also include 6,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. Not to be outdone by other new construction apartment towers around the downtown Chicago area, this sleek new tower will also feature an array of upscale, resort-style amenities like an outdoor pool and spa, an outdoor fire pit,

River North Real Estate

More possible large-scale development could be coming to River North, and this time it involves both commercial and residential real estate. First brought to our attention by our friends from Curbed Chicago, the new plan, which involves an 8-story office building and a 22-story residential tower, will be presented later this month during a public meeting by its would-be developers, Centrum Partners.

If approved, the new project would take the place of a parking lot that currently occupies 215 W. Hubbard, but unlike many new developments going on around downtown Chicago, this one poses some unique challenges.

If you refer to the renderings, you’ll see that elevated L tracks curve directly through the northwest corner of the lot, and as a result, the

400 W. Huron Condos For Sale

For those concerned about the lack of new condominium inventory in downtown Chicago, it seems developers are slowly but surely starting to bring more new construction condos to market. Earlier this month we learned more about a possible new Related Midwest project at 451 E. Grand that will be a combination of rentals and condos, while in the Gold Coast, a new condominium tower at 4 E. Elm is already underway that will add 35 ultra-luxurious units to a part of the city that hasn’t seen a new high-rise built in nearly a decade.

Now, it looks as if River North will be the next location for another boutique condo project, as Smithfield Properties LLC has reportedly filed a zoning application to ultimately build a 15 story, 46 unit condo tower that would
