A new report from Curbed has revealed that yet another new residential project could be in the works for the West Loop, which at this point is hardly a surprise. As one of the hottest neighborhoods in town, the West Loop is absolutely booming right now, and the latest proposal on the table is a new 52-unit apartment building that’s slated for 128. S. Laflin.

Currently occupying the site is a small one-level industrial building, which would of course be demolished should the project gain approval and construction eventually move forward.

According to Curbed, however, West Loop neighbors aren’t thrilled about the early design concept given its close proximity to the Jackson Boulevard Historic District.

With the project only just now is the early

And speaking of Madison Street, the inventory of available lofts, condos, and apartments offers a broad range of options and opportunities right now, which is something you

The complete transformation of Fulton Market looks to be continuing its path forward as reports recently surfaced about its newest large-scale development finally getting underway.

According to a new tidbit from Curbed Chicago, the fabulous new office building at 811 W. Fulton just received its construction permits and will soon be getting underway, which will certainly help anchor the neighborhood’s rapidly developing “gateway” once the dust settles on this fabulous new addition to the area landscape.

The faux warehouse design is absolutely fabulous and of course blends in perfectly with the rest of the Fulton Market area, and along with adding plenty of new office space, renderings suggest additional retail/restaurant space will also be included

Although the West Loop is easily one of the hottest neighborhoods in Chicago right now, convenience still plays a major role in deciding which home, loft, or condo feels like the right fit. And yes, finding a place that checks off as many boxes on your wish list still applies to even neighborhoods in Chicago that happen to be as popular as the West Loop.

For home buyers considering a move to the area, it’s safe to say just about anywhere in the West Loop is desirable, walkable, and a great place to call home. Search Chicago Lofts Near the Google BuildingAs widespread development continues all throughout the neighborhood, the West Loop real estate market continues to stay red hot. Once a bustling warehouse district full of industry, the West Loop landscape is much different in 2017 than it even was five or six years ago, let alone long before that.

The emergence of Randolph Street’s Restaurant Row has certainly helped elevate the West Loop into becoming a destination spot from a lifestyle standpoint, and large-scale office conversions like 1K Fulton have now made it one of the top work-live locations in all of Chicago.

Now commonly referred to as “the Google building,” the conversion of the old Fulton Market cold storage building has certainly helped completely transform Chicago’s trendy Fulton

The West Loop is hands down one of the hottest neighborhoods in Chicago right now. From the announcement of numerous large-scale commercial and residential projects like the new McDonald’s headquarters or Landmark West Loop to overall vibrant atmosphere that basically surrounds ‘Restaurant Row,’ Madison Street, the Fulton Market area, and just about every other nook and cranny in the community, it’s hard to argue against West Loop being one of the top places to call home in the city.

But with the entire West Loop real estate market blowing up in recent months, inventory continues to dwindle, and home, condo, and loft prices also continue to rise. Finding and securing just about anything in the neighborhood is tough right now, and especially on the

The Fulton Market District is a neighborhood that’s generating a lot of buzz lately, but mostly on the commercial side of things. Just recently, news broke about another loft-style office hitting the market on May Street, and of course the addition of the new Google building at 1K Fulton continues to create momentum for not just Fulton Market but also the entire West Loop area overall.

But speaking of May Street, a couple of the West Loop/Fulton Market’s most expensive residential listings both happen to be inside the same building right now—312 N. May.

The first unit here, a 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom loft with a whopping 5,000 square feet of living space, is listed for a cool $2,149,000, which doesn’t seem like a bad deal given it’s a living space

Fulton Market Apartments As commercial development continues to transform Chicago’s West Loop and Fulton Market neighborhoods, developers are also planning more apartments to serve what will inevitably be a substantial influx of people wanting to live nearby.

According to a recent report from Crain’s Chicago Business, Naperville-based Marquette Cos. is planning a 263-unit apartment building for a site over on the southwest corner of Lake and Ada streets, which happens to also lie just a block north of Chicago’s famed Restaurant Row.

Should the project move forward, the building will reportedly be designed by Brininstool & Lynch and stand 10 stories high once finished. As noted in the Crain’s piece, developers love the location of Lake and Ada, which feels slightly less

Chicago’s Fulton Market has seen all sorts of new development in recent months, including everything from major commercial projects to boutique-style hotels that are completely transforming this part of the city into a trendy place to live, work, or simply visit.

Along with many who already call Fulton Market home, the city of Chicago has also taken notice in the neighborhood’s ongoing transformation, which is why it’s planning to invest nearly $20 million into a streetscape project that should help boost the area’s already rapidly growing appeal.

According to a release, the project would involve adding new pavement and cobblestone to select intersections, as well as improving street lighting and adding more pedestrian-friendly upgrades all
